Gender Inclusivity in the workplace for senior managers and directors.
Led by an expert Family Therapist who specialises in the field of Gender Services, this course examines the importance of gender inclusivity in the workplace, the current law and best practice policies surrounding gender inclusivity and the implementation of gender-inclusive leadership. We examine, in-depth, the gender-inclusive actions that a workplace needs to incorporate. These cover the core factors of Interpersonal, environmental and Organisational steps and offer bespoke implementation guides. We cover all aspects of enabling a trans and non-binary inclusive workplace and how this is also a key factor in employee retention and celebrating a truly diverse organisation. Gender Inclusivity in the workplace for team members.
Led by a qualified Gender Services expert, this course discusses terminology and use of pronoun inclusive language towards colleagues. We also examine words used in communications such as emails and by telephone that encourage and enable all away from making gender-based assumptions. We also incorporate an open discussion and in-depth question and answer session to enable a greater understanding of gener-diversity. This course is in-person at your location.
Unconcious Bias Training. Suitable for everyone.
​Unconscious biases are learned assumptions, beliefs, or attitudes that we aren’t necessarily aware of. While bias is a normal part of human brain function, it can often reinforce stereotypes. To combat unconscious bias, we advise about different types of biases, how they might surface at work, and how to avoid them so you can build a more inclusive and diverse workplace or organisation. Neurodiversity in the workplace. For managers & Directors.
Led by our highly qualified and experienced Mental Health Nurse, this training is aimed towards employers who are taking positive steps to actively include neurodivergent people who are thought to represent more than 10% of the population. We examine best hiring processes, management practices and workspaces which have all been previously designed with neurotypical people in mind and discuss what positive changes you can implement. We discuss the current law in this area, best practice policies which incorporate an understanding and provision of assistive technology that optimise the performances of neurodivergent people who are non-verbal people and those with dyslexia. We put forward strategies so that organisations can develop accepting language of neuro-difference and celebrate neurodiverse strengths while taking positive steps to accommodate and assist in any specific challenges that an employee may face.This is an in-person course at your location.
Neurodiversity in the workplace. For collegues.
Neurodivergent people are thought to represent more than 10% of the population. We discuss the common language and acceptable language that is used in respect of all people who are neurotypical and neurodivergent and discuss caution around labelling. Words such as 'autistic' may be helpful to some but we discuss the dangers that can be involved in the often overuse or incorrect of this term.
We encourage an open question and answer session and interactive debate between colleagues and the trainers.

Accessible working for people with physical disabilites.
For Directors and Managers
This course is undertaken by ThinkAbility Director Nathan Popple who uses a wheelchair and assistive technology. The training and discussions focus on the practical accessibility within your organisation and recommendations are made on what can be improved in your physical space in order to make it not only compliant with current law but to set a standard far and above.
We discuss current law, and the recent changes that have been made around inclusivity in the workplace and focus strongly on how to assist physically disabled people to greater demonstrate their abilities by assessing what organisations can implement to encourage their staff to reach their maximum potential.
